Limited Agreement Exclusions
Gaps in Service – Occasionally, in rural areas there are gaps in network coverage. If there is no service provider in your area, the Roadside Protect representative will assign you an authorization number and you will be responsible for finding assistance. Then simply submit the authorization number along with the receipt for the roadside assistance and you will be reimbursed for all covered services. Send documentation to the address included in the welcome kit.
Roadside Assistance Service Excludes: Service if member is not with the disabled vehicle; service if a member is on a toll-road or turnpike that does not permit Roadside Protect to service the member’s vehicle; transportation for the member to the vehicle for service or from the vehicle to another destination after service has been rendered; service will not be rendered in areas not regularly traveled, such as vacant lots, beaches, open fields, or other places that would be hazardous for service vehicles to reach; towing a vehicle off a boat dock or marina; installation or removal of snow tires and chains, or rotating tires; vehicle’s storage charges; service of any kind on vehicles used for commercial purposes; cost of parts, installation, products, materials, impounding and additional labor related to towing, and using dealer tags (Note: all trucks in New York have commercial license plates whether they are used for business or private use. If the truck is used for private use, service will be dispatched.); service for taxicabs, tractors, boats, trailers, dune buggies, or vehicles used for competition, or stolen vehicles; service for vehicles that do not have a valid license plate and/or valid vehicle registration sticker; service for vehicles illegally parked or impounded; repeated service calls for vehicles in need of routine maintenance; and service when a vehicle is snowbound—vehicles will not be hoisted, winched, or shoveled from unplowed roads, snow banks, snowbound driveways, or curbside parking.
Important
*The primary enrollee’s name will appear on your digital membership cards, sent to the email address on file; however, all members you have enrolled are covered. Membership is limited to 4 family members residing in the same household. A full-time student can be included, up to the age of 22, whose primary residence is the same as the enrolling member’s household address. Roadside Protect™ is not an automatic renewal program. Roadside Protect™ is not a reimbursement program. There is a waiting period of 5 business days for coverage to begin. Emergency roadside services are provided to Roadside Protect, Inc. by Allstate Motor Club, policy number 048246118.
